  • Storyboarding enables a production team to plan and share their vision of a film.
  • This means that every shot is drawn out exactly how it is intended to look, giving the the cast and crew a visual plan to use while shooting.
  • While carrying out this task we discovered that even during a short sequence, there are a lot of different shots to be planned, ending up with 40 individually drawn shots for a sequence that should be around 2 minutes in length.
  • With this quantity of work also came issues with consistency in drawing style, identifying different visual elements and the need to make notes on each shot too.
  • While carrying out this task we learned that we needed to put in a greater variety of shot styles and camera movement to keep the visuals interesting and to achieve technical excellence. We attempted to add more shots of different styles during the storyboarding process, and have come out happy with the variety of shots we now have planned.
